Psalm 73:24 : "You have guided me with your advice / later you will receive me with glory" (Common English Bible verse translation)

Hans-Joachim Kraus in his exegetical commentary PSALMS 60 - 150 (Fortress Press, 1993) translated the verse as [ You lead me with your counsel and afterward -- you take me up in glory / KABOD ].  He offered further discussion in the main text and a footnote (pages 90 -91, English translation by Hilton C. Oswald):  "The singer of Psalm 73 knows that in all the visible 'injustices' that assail confidence he is led by his God (verse 24).  Taken by the hand and directed by Yahweh's plan (which surpasses all human thought (Isaiah 55: 8 and following verses), the sufferer goes to meet his glorious destiny. . .For the petitioner desiring clarity (verse 17b), God has uncovered the destiny and thereby also the today and tomorrow of his disturbed life.  The miraculous event of "translation" is reported only of Enoch and Elijah in the Old Testament. Enoch was 'taken up' because he walked with God (Genesis 5:24).  And now the petitioner of Psalm 73 is sure that all his distress and torment will 'at the end' be set aside by a sudden intervention of God . . As the lightning of the consuming terror of God snatches away the basis of life of the R - SH - ' - M (verses 18 and following), so Yahweh in KABOD (i.e. in the phenomenon of the light of his appearance in glory) takes hold. . .Worth noting is the careful opinion of John Calvin (PSALMS COMMENTARY on 73:24): "KABOD / Gloria, which I think, ought not to be limited to eternal life, as some are inclined to do.  It comprehends the whole course of our happiness from the commencement, which is seen here on earth, even to the consummation which we expect to realize in heaven" (1949 translation by C. Anderson for Eerdmans Publishing set of volumes)."
