More than 80 years have passed since Bombs were dropped at German city's center

Today June 4, 2025

Ko"ln (in German anglicization : COLOGNE)

at its city center blocks some

20,500 citizen-residents were

evacuated to safe quarters due to

the finding and de-fusing of 3

World War II major bombs.  The

bomb squad used a 1,000 meter radius

to keep Germans safe -- estimating that

this was the biggest find and detonation

since war's end.  It was in the shipyard

in the Deutz neighborhood.

Homes, shops, schools, and hotels were

told to evacuate as well as a large

hospital and a train station.
