Why was DIWALI a big "thing" to celebrate among Trump's ethnic s. Asian non-Christian employees (Patel, Gabbard)?

 Diwali

is a five-day festival on the new

moon between mid-October and

mid-November according to the

Hindu lunar calendar.  Celebrated

by Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, Hindus.

It is a most important "row of

Lights" festival involving

small clay oil lamps are lit to

signify the victory of good over evil.

It is believed that during Diwali

Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth

visits the house and blesses it.

It commemorates and celebrates

the homecoming of the Hindu

god Ram and his wife, Seeta,

after 14 year of exile, and his

victory over the evil king Ravana.
