a horse-led procession has heralded the
arrival of Spring
in a traditional SHINTO festival --
disaster-hit Noto Peninsula, central Japan.
The area was recently hit by earthquakes
that will shorten the OIDE Festival down to
only three days; according to religious
leadership in the Hakui City, Ishikawa
Prefecture the
procession is led by a
sacred horse and more than
20 people took part
(priests and local youth).
