Linda McMahon -- Congress must vote to close her Dept.

Senate-approved Secy. of cabinet-level

department will preside over dismantling

of the 1970s era Federal agency / department

of EDUCATION.

on MARCH 11, 2025 McMahon announced that

more than 1,300 of its employees will receive

firing notices / lay-offs.  Its status quo staffing

was 4,100 employees.

Deeper cuts to the Education Department are

already expected in the immediate weeks

and months of 2025.
