Looking for the latest fall foliage reports in Michigan? NASA's got you covered.
Their MODIS satellite equipment recently captured where oranges and reds are popping in Michigan -- across the western U.P., and in the higher terrain near the tip of the mitt.
The National Weather Service office in Gaylord made the photo available early today.
Spotters also keep track of the color through The Foliage Network, NWS Gaylord said.
The latest report shows moderate color through much of Michigan, with the best -- fall peak -- still to come.
