An ongoing outbreak of Measles / Rubeola is likely to persist for a year,
according to Texas Public Health authorities. As the highly
contagious disease spills over from its beginnings last year
in west Texas (Gaines County) to New Mexico and then
other regional neighboring states of Oklahoma and Kansas.
At least 746 cases confirmed or probable
cases / / / 689 related to the outbreak
and 57 cases unrelated / isolated, typically
linked to international travel. APRIL 15 date
