Psalm 130 -- a song of ascents (translated by Miriyam Glazer, Ph.D., 2009)

from M. Glazer's Psalms of the Jewish Liturgy (Avi Press, 2009):
Out of the depths, I call to You, Adonai --
O Adonai, hear my voice, let Your ears pay attention to the sound of my supplications.
If you keep a watch for our sins, O God, how can we bear it?
But You are a forgiving God, and for that we feel awe.
Even more than night watchmen, watching for the dawn, watch for the dawn,
I wait for Adonai.  My whole being waits.
I wait for God's word.
O Israel, wait for Adonai, for with Adonai is sturdy love and great power to redeem,
and our God will redeem Israel from all its sins.
