Wind Chill and Winter Storm Warnings (Thursday Jan. 8, 2015) - Berrien County, Michigan, USA
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED BOTH A WIND CHILL WARNING AS WELL AS A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW... THESE BOTH REMAIN IN EFFECT FROM 3 P.M. THURSDAY AFTERNOON TO 4 P.M. EST FRIDAY.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER INCLUDES:
* BITTER COLD THIS MORNING WITH WIND CHILLS OF 20 BELOW TO 30 BELOW ZERO.
* SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE TONIGHT. THE PERIOD OF HEAVIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED THIS EVENING. LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY FRIDAY WITH ADDITIONAL LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS.
* ACCUMULATIONS... 4 TO 8 INCHES.
* STRONG SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS WILL CAUSE SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES THIS AFTERNOON INTO FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
