middle paragraph concerns accomplishment
and commendable action / attitude of pre-Exilic
monarch of Judah [ Josiah ]
Verse 21:
The king issued an order to all his people:
Celebrate the Passover of YHWH your God,
as prescribed in this Book of the Covenant."
Indeed, a Passover such as this had not been
celebrated since the days of the Judges who
judged Israel and all the days of the Kings of
Israel and the Kings of Judah; only in the 18th
year of King Josiah was such a Passover of YHWH
celebrated in Jerusalem. Moreover, Josiah stamped
out those who consult ghosts and spirits, the
household images and the idols, all the detestations
which had appeared in the land of Judah and in
Jerusalem, in order to fulfill the word of the
Teaching written in the book which Hilkiah the
priest found in the House of YHWH. There was
no king like him before, who turned back to YHWH
with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all
his might, in accord with the entire Teaching of
Moses: and after him, no one arose like him.
