has publicized that the Trump-Vance administration

has cancelled and terminated historians engaged in

a 9-member panel that reviews records to make

recommendations to the State Department's office

of the Historian for de-classification : currently they

were at work on the George H.W. Bush and Clinton

administrations :

Committee on Historical Diplomatic Documentation.

Chairman terminated this spring (April 30)

Prof. James Goldgeier.

He commented to The Hill

that the HAC is congressionally

mandated but those firing

federal workers / terminating

agencies lacked authority

to fire all 6 regular and 3 at-large

members.
