According to AsiaNews, http://bit.ly/1kqzC8Z Pope Francis and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who met last weekend (May 24, 2014) in Jerusalem, have agreed to plan an ecumenical meeting in Nicaea in 2025. The first Council of Nicaea was held in 325 A.D. It brought together Eastern and Western Christians who approved the formulation of the Nicene Creed. Today Nicaea is known as Iznik, Turkey, southeast of Istanbul.
