The colonies each would
reckon the matter of who
could vote at a town, region,
or colony level; no such
"Register" of voters in the
Revolution / post-Revolutionary
era granted suffrage (the right to
vote) to women of all colors, hues,
standing in the eyes of the voting
"judges" :
1776 population of 13 colonies was
approx. 2.5 million while
1.25 million were women -
children of the families (orphans,
fatherless included) and
1.25 million were males come of age.
