DISCUSSION:
Apologists for the acceptance of slavery in the Bible
have sometimes asserted that ancient slavery was
different from the chattel slavery of American rural
plantation system. Such an argument can be found in
writings by abolition-favoring writers who display
embarrassment with supporters who cite Bible
exemplars with slave owning instances. NO
SUCH HISTORICAL SUPPORT CAN BE MAINTAINED. .
