3 p.m. at the Capitol Rotunda, Washington, D.C.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and other Congressional leaders will
host a statue dedication ceremony honoring the past POTUS (1945-1952).
On this final day before the upcoming November elections, the House
and Senate will consider budget and other topics as well as suspension bills.
President Truman was elected VP in Nov. 1944 and succeeded in the presidential
office when FDR died suddenly in April, 1945; he was elected in the next election (1948)
to a term as POTUS.
