Eating Disorders: Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment (Workshop) March 16, 2018 from 8 - 10 a.m. Bethel College Counseling, Mishawaka, IN

The Bethel College Counseling Service is hosting a workshop for mental health professionals titled, “Understanding Eating Disorders: Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment.” It will be on Friday, March 16 from 8-10 a.m. in the President’s Dining Room in the Dining Commons on Bethel’s campus.
Psychologist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Michelle Mannia, Psy.D., HSPP, CEDS, is the featured speaker. She will address the causes, prevention, and treatment of eating disordered concerns and behaviors.
Attendees will gain awareness of cultural influences on eating behaviors, knowledge of practical ways to recognize eating disorders, skills to support someone struggling with poor body image, and an increased ability to address disordered eating behavior treatment needs.
The event is open to psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, counselors, addictions therapists, social service professionals, school teachers and staff, and college students training in the fields of counseling, social work and psychology.
Psychologists and behavioral health professionals can earn two Category I CEUs for attending the event.
