Fee-free day (September 27, 2014): National Public Lands

from National Public Lands Day dot-org / / / / / :
Several federal land management agencies have announced fee-free days for 2014, including National Public Lands Day on September 27, 2014. A fee-free day is when parks, refuges, and rangelands offer free entry or waive the standard amenity fee for visitors.
Along with NPLD, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Veteran's Day are free entrance days at Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and U.S. Forest Service lands. There are also additional fee-free days specific to agencies, such as the National Park Service providing free entry on August 25 to celebrate their 98th birthday.
