Seven for seven expected student participation

Despite one student notifying me of his College Team's participation at Ann Arbor, Michigan, I was glad to administer the 100-question Midterm to the seven Community College students for the English Composition I course (Spring Term). They can be proud of their accomplishments in the first half coverage of what normally takes about 7 1/2 to 8 weeks in our first 9 or so twice a week meetings (6 - 8:15 p.m.). Those seven are hard workers and will all do well if they keep writing and improving.

The high score was 480 or so out of 500 and even the lesser scores are still in the 430 - 445 range/500 perfect points.

It was also informative to learn today from Mrs. Hughes (Chemistry teacher at Ber. Springs HS) who I saw at the Niles Goodwill store that there are new teachers replacing Mrs. Carol Williams (Junior Writing) and Mrs. Penny Shaffer (Library - Media center - Student Council). The new folks will all have new ideas and plans for a challenging 2010-11.
