(who succeeded A. Lincoln
after assassination in 1865)
was impeached by the HOUSE on
FEB. 24, 1868 -- the Senate,
however, did not vote to convict
so he did complete his successor
term and moved back to TN
following the election of Ulysses
Grant in the national / electoral
college results.
