The beloved character actor / comedian
Jeffrey Warren Daniels
b. Feb. 19, 1955
was born in Athens, GA but
has made Chelsea Michigan
his home since 1986, establishing
the PURPLE ROSE THEATER
complex in its downtown as well
as other establishments for
entertainment and fellowship.
"JD's Stage Bistro" is set to open
in Spring 2026 with a 100-seat
restaurant and live stage venue.
He married his high-school
sweetheart, Kathleen Treado in
1979; they married on Friday the
13th because he wore uniform
#13 on his H.S. Baseball uniform.
Also attended Central Michigan
University before dropping out
to pursue a full-time acting career.
