Sept. 23, 2025 voters in Arizona's 7th Cong. District finally get replacement deceased member of House -- changes # to fill 433rd seat

Sept. 23, 2025 was SPECIAL

ELECTION DAY -- to replace deceased House member.

The terminally ill Raul Grijalva was elected

in the 7th district by his constituents and supporters

over many previous terms / years  Election Day 2024.

However, he died of lung cancer at age 77

March 2025, leaving his seat in Congress vacant

until  a replacement / early Congressional race

could replace him -- 4th Tuesday of September following.

The elected replacement (Adelita

Grijalva) adds to the D

caucus, bringing the total number of

House members to 433.
