U.S. is losing race to return to moon
UPDATE: 09/20/us/politics/

POLITICO reports that
Space industry professionals and
Capitol Hill staffers describe
a rudderless administration when
it comes to space policy, with no
single person driving the big
shifts:
NASA will lose billions in the
upcoming Trump 2.0 budget for
a lunar space station but it would
plow money into a highly difficult
mission to Mars -- in the Jan. 20
2025 Inaugural address, Trump 2.0
promised a human landing on Mars
-- a goal long held by SpaceX founder
Elon Musk . . .the budget overhauls
and displacements of funding directly
contradict NASA nominee Jared Isaacman's
support for the lunar base missions in
the near future.
