18th Cong. District TX election -- Voters after death of Congressman Turner get to vote SATURDAY, Jan. 31 (in 16 days)

January 2026 -- yes, at last the VOTERS of the

18th Congressional District will vote the replacement

member after Sylvester Turner's death 10 months ago.

OPEN due to death of Sylvester Turner who had been

elected Nov. 2024 -- and will be filled only on Jan. 31, 

2026.  Turner died March 2025 and state law determines

how that CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT (the 18th in Texas)

will fill the seat from public run-off plurality winners.

received a majority -- two advance in a run-off to be

held between Democratic party survivors of the field

the people of Houston, TX have been without

representation more than 6 months and will be

represented only after a First Tuesday election
