Judge Beryl Howell ruled Monday
May 19, 2025
that
the U.S. Institute of Peace
president and board members
were fired illegally when
POTUS Trump 2.0 moved to
dismantle the organization and
its operations. (March 2025
when staff lost access to email
accounts and all of their work).
In a 102-page ruling, the Federal
district judge ruled that transfer of
the institute's assets and Headquarters
seizure were
null and void.
Dec. 2025 -- renamed
"Trump Institute of Peace"
