Gator Bowl (Jacksonville, FL)
is a second chance for the injured and now rehabilitated
Quarterback for the Notre Dame (IN) Fighting Irish
Men's Football Team (NCAA)
to face a major opponent (South Carolina) and
bring home a first Bowl victory for new Head Coach
Marcus Freeman.
Buchner was starting QB for two of Notre Dame's
losses in the 8-4 season.
The Irish began with a loss to the Ohio State University
Buckeyes at South Bend, IN and Buchner was injured
during the loss to Marshall University.
Notre Dame this season also lost to USC at Los Angeles
Memorial Coliseum (California).
