Respect for Marriage Act (law ensuring status of Bi-racial, Same-Sex marriages) passes House 258-169

Thursday Dec. 8, 2022 was the historic day when bipartisan support ruled the day

the bill dismantled the 1990s "Defense of Marriage" act (Clinton-Gingrich era)

and codified same-sex marriage recognition between the states.

An amendment by Collins,  Tillis, Portman (GOP) ensured that non-profit

not be required to help perform a same-sex marriage ceremony.
