Capital of Mississippi (Jackson) now without water due to broken pumps to clear river overflow

Affecting more than 150,000 in the metro area affected by local flooding and utility pump failure;

Jackson is the largest city in the state; also has largest school system that is

minority-majority due to generations of "white-flight" of wealthy professionals, landowners,

privileged class of status quo in real estate and business concentrations.
