NILES, Michigan – Ice blocks were delivered to Niles on Monday Jan. 14, 2019 in preparation for the Hunter Ice Festival.
The ice was delivered by two refrigerated tractor trailers for the professional ice carving starting on Tuesday 1/15/2019.
Professional ice carvers will transform 32 tons of ice into art sculptures for the Hunter Ice Festival.
There will also be live carving during the festival.
“The caliber, the class, the quality of art that you will see turned into ice this weekend is bar-none. We have some of the best carvers in the nation, in the world that are carving this weekend,” said Lisa Croteau the Program Manager for Niles Downtown Development.
The festival will take place Friday 1/18/2019 through Saturday 1/19/2019 in downtown Niles with food and family fun.
