The English Department is pleased to announce that our 2014 Yusko Ward-Phillips lecturer is Margaret Atwood. Ms. Atwood will speak at 7:00pm, Wednesday April 9, in the McKenna Hall Auditorium. A book signing and reception will follow in the McKenna Hall Atrium.
A perennial finalist for the Nobel Prize in Literature and winner of many international literary awards, including the Booker Prize, Atwood is the author of more than thirty volumes of fiction, poetry, children's literature, and nonfiction. She is perhaps best-known for her novels, which include The Handmaid's Tale, Oryx and Crake, and The Year of the Flood.
