What happens to "Banned Books" when state of Indiana authorities forbid libraries to circulate them? Trash? Storage? Donated to Betterworld Books?

 In an interview with the

INDY STAR dot-com,

Magnusson replies that since the

INDIANA CODE

does not specify what to do with

controversial titles if they are removed

( Catcher in the Rye

Ulysses

The Bluest Eye

Harry Potter series

Captain Underpants )

it's murky what typically will happen

to physical printed copies.  Sometimes

librarian just box up books to hide them away

in basement storage.  An "Indiana Library Federation"

official said that a more likely outcome would be

that the library would allow a "Friends" group to

sell them at a Discarded / USED book fundraiser

where kids, tweens, teens, young, middle, and older

adults can sort out those overstocked and now

too-controversial titles so as not to offend public decency.
