Venezuela -- facts I wish Americans knew

Venezuela has a

northern coastal

border in South America

on the Atlantic Ocean

and Caribbean Sea.

Venezuela is twice the

size of California (U.S.A.).

___________________

Just over 30 million

men, women, teens, tweens,

toddlers & infants live in

Venezuela; their capital

city is Caracas.

___________________

Over recent years in the

2010s, millions of

Venezuelans (men, women,

teens, tweens, toddlers &

infants) have fled that 

proud industrialized

nation due to increased

violence, lack of jobs,

food shortages, and more

reasons.  In the year 2017,

that number of refugees

departing Venezuela doubled.

Throughout the country

of Venezuela, people have

diverse first- and second-

languages : most speak

Spanish but English is

also common in stores

and businesses as well

as homes.  French, Latin,

Italian are part of H.S.

teaching : throughout

all of this magnificent

land, more than 40 

languages can be heard.
