Lonnie Ali was quoted in the
Louisville, KY Courier-Journal
online story/trump-wants-muhammad-
ali-statue-in-national-garden-of-american-heroes
Feb. 23, 2025
The proposed statue ($100,000
to $200,000 in cost/execution)
would clash with her late husband's
faith. . .
She told Courier-Journal in a Feb. 2025
article about Black History Month:
"A statue erected in Muhammad's
honor would not be in accord with
his Islamic teachings; I am grateful
for the President's (Trump 2.0) desire
to commemorate Muhammad's life
and legacy as an American Hero /
Humanitarian who loved all people. . .
Trump 2.0's plan is to erect 250 statues at a kind of
"THEME PARK" that will enshrine America's
respect for its heroes : already suggested as prominent
African-American
figures favored by Trump and Plan devisers are:
Kobe Bryant
Frederick Douglass
Aretha Franklin,
Billie Holiday,
Coretta Scott King & MLK, Jr.
Rosa Parks
Jackie Robinson
Harriet Tubman. . .
It is ironic that Trump in Press comments
mentioned the Civil War Underground Railroad
Conductor [ Harriet Tubman ] when the Trump-
Vance National Park Service recently in 2025
scrubbed mention of her from park web pages
about the Civil War, favoring "black-white cooperation"
and postage stamp commemorations of a number
of Civil War-era figures / American heroes.
