When the Carter Center (.org) announced 365 days ago that the 39th POTUS was
entering Hospice care, the world's media rushed to Plains, GA the hometown of
Jimmy Carter (who was President 1977 - Jan. 20, 1981).
The expectations for a state funeral were never met as he has survived one year now
in mid-February.
His dear wife Rosalynn did decline and die this past November, only days after
entering Hospice Care herself.
On Oct. 17, 2019 the couple had passed a record for POTUS
and FLOTUS to have been married; and in Oct. 1, 2023
Carter himself reached 99 years of age.
