votes while challenger Bernie Sanders (independent)
received 49.6%. Iowans sent 23 delegates
for the eventual nominee (H. Clinton)
at the Democratic National Convention
in 2016 while 21 still supported the dissenting
candidate: Bernie Sanders.
The 2021 Census lists that 3.193 million people
live in the state of Iowa. Its Black population is
117,035.
