WHAT...High wave action, strong currents, and dangerous swimming conditions expected. North winds gusting up to 25 mph will lead to waves of 3 to 5 feet for much of today. The wave period will be 5 to 6 seconds and this will support strong currents.
WHERE...In Indiana, La Porte county. In Michigan, Berrien county.
WHEN...From 8 AM EDT this morning through this evening.
IMPACTS...Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water and high waves can sweep people off piers.

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions. Do not venture out on piers.
