A special "Walk for More Tomorrows" is planned on Thursday 4/19/2018 as part of "Paint the Town Yellow," bringing awareness to suicide prevention.
Walk for more tomorrows is open to the public and sponsored by Howard Hall (Univ. of Notre Dame) It takes place from 4 - 7 p.m. at the University South Quad in front of South Dining Hall and Dillon Hall.
Suicide is the second-leading cause of death for people ages 15 - 24. This benefit walk not only raises awareness of suicide and mental illness, it offers support for those affected by suicide and provides information/resources on suicide prevention.
Participants are asked to donate $2 and then walk two legs around a small track. There will be time for reflection as well. Given to all are yellow ribbons of support and everyone can used supplied whiteboards to write messages. All funds raised benefit "Suicide Prevention Center of St. Joseph County, IN"
In case of rain, this annual event will be moved to the ballroom of LaFortune Student Center, University of Notre Dame.
