Blessing of the Animals

The Murphysboro United Methodist Church and St. Frances CARE are joining together to offer the 6th Annual Blessing of the Animals service open to all animals and their people. The service will take place under the Murphysboro United Methodist Church pavilion on Sunday, October 1 at 4:00 pm. Following the short service, each animal will receive an individual blessing. There will be treats for animals and their humans, a blessing gift and an information bag for all those who attend. If your pet is unable to attend, we encourage you to bring a collar, favorite toy or a personal object to be blessed. All animals must either be on a leash or in a carrier.
