trainees have fallen ill_ after a
flu outbreak at Lackland Air
Force base at Lackland, TX.
NBC News has the details
of the impact of contagious illness
among the military ranks due to
an only 40% of trainees opting to
take seriously their need for annual
immunization -- 160 trainees are
thus far diagnosed and being treated
after Def. Secy. Hegseth ended April
2026 the requirement to be immunized
with the present-day once-a-year
safe vaccine.
