Today is Fathers Day --
honor your father who served
in the military; your uncles,
cousins, neighbors, heads of
household who are / were
fathers. Raising and flying
the flag is independent of
who are the current officeholders --
American Dad, Grandfathers,
great-grandfathers, great-greats
and more . . .
The Red, White, and Blue can
give us continuity to the 1776
brave ones who also had a
generational dis-connect with
the Loyalist / Status Quo supporters
who didn't want to give up
a privileged place under the
british "Union Jack". The
signing of a Declaration of
Independence was a radical,
daring act that said We "DECLARE"
not a King and Parliament an ocean
away . . .
