Have American presidents (George Washington to today) had imperial plans due to hunger for power?

have drive and a need to

stand out in victory and

accomplishments / profit-taking;

some actually, though, have eschewed

a sense of personal gain and wealth

to last them the remainder of their

days.  Prime Examples would be

those who won the Nobel Prizes

when recognized by the NOBEL
