Vote was 214 - 212 to cut $9.4 billion from NPR, PBS, foreign Aid - House of Representatives

U.S. AID (International Development projects)

as well as NPR and PBS were

socked by the U.S. Congress in a vote-switching

move by leadership deleting current funds of

$9.4 billion for operations and

aid to the world's poor and under-

developed nations.

Rescissions package also

deprived an HIV/AIDS relief program.

Speaker of the House Johnson (R - Louisiana)

pulled off the legislative move with

just 2 votes to spare.
