There are races on Tuesday June 18, 2024 that may
forecast what will happen in the Nov. Federal elections:
In a quite close race not expected to be called until
Friday counting of all mailed ballots,
as of the Juneteenth holiday (wed. 19th)
the two candidates were separated only by
307 votes (.4 percent
of all cast in the race).
Bob Good faced a primary opponent backed by
the Predecessor (a State Senator VA: John McGuire) as
"revenge" for Good's endorsement in early Pres. primaries
of DeSantis (FL Gov.). Good also voted to
take House speakership away from Kevin McCarthy (GOP).
In OK, Tom Cole defeated a hard-right opponent
(self-funded businessmanPaul Bondar).
Cole is after 11 terms in the House the
House Appropriations cmte. chair.
In Georgia, GOP Candidate Wayne
Johnson (former Trump-Pence admin. official)
defeated Chuck Hand, who received 4,000+
votes only as a convicted Jan. 6 rioter.
That politician needed advance with 50%
majority in order to face
16-term incumbent Sanford Bishop (Democratic).
