Massive Pile-up of cars and semi trucks between Allegan and Mattewan, Michigan (I-94) - New Year's Eve

At 12:37 p.m. Sunday, a crash on westbound I-94 at exit 52

for County Road 365 had closed the freeway, according to the

Michigan Department of Transportation.

Minutes later another major crash was reported on

westbound I-94 at M-51. 

Buses were dispatched to the highway to pick up

stranded drivers, according to police scanner traffic. 

The highway reopened to traffic at 4 p.m.
