Pope Benedict XVI Mark’s 500th Anniversary of Sistine Chapel
At the Vatican on Wednesday (November 1), Pope Benedict XVI held a special service to mark the 500th anniversary of the Sistine Chapel. The ceiling, dedicated in 1512, took Michelangelo four years to paint. Now, five million people visit annually.
