Bible Party

Details: Our family, with help of local Christians, is holding a Bible Party at our small holding in Bishops Norton, Gloucestershire on Saturday Sept 3, 10am-7pm. It is a free event to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the KJV and a chance to celebrate scripture and learn more about how we came to have the Bible in our own language.
It will include speakers, choirs, exhibitions including living ones with appropriate plants and animals, a biblically themed cake competition (including children’s categories), children’s activities and (we hope) donkey rides. There is parking for about 150 cars although the bulk of this is in an agricultural field rather than hard standing. From the top of the site there are glorious views over the Severn River and vale.There will be a field set aside for campers but spaces must be booked ahead with a donation of £10 per family per night suggested. The facilites will be basic (compost toilets and portaloos and primitive washing facilities). However, there are some good walks by bridle and footpath direct from the site and a pub down the road.
