Weather Alert (Jan. 9,2019) until 7 p.m. Eastern Time Zone

...Snow Showers Causing Slick Roads Across the Area... Snow showers off of Lake Michigan will continue to spread well inland through this evening. Brief periods of moderate to heavy snow showers will be possible, reducing visibility to one mile or less for short durations. This will also cause roads to become snow covered, slick and hazardous in some locations, especially on untreated surfaces. As temperatures drop into the upper teens tonight, refreezing of compacted fresh snow is possible on untreated roadways. Motorists are urged to use caution, slow down, give additional space between you and other motorist, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
