she had no prior knowledge that

the bucket of water already in

place in the Witch's castle was

immediately lethal in the magical

universe of OZ to a supernatural

character like The WICKED WITCH

of the WEST.  She did also kill that

character's sister, when her house landed

on the WITCH of the EAST in

Munchkinland.
