The DHS acknowledged that it is using
a facial recognition APP
made by the vendor NEC
also used this past June
when citizens were also
detained en masse in Los
Angeles; DHS agents
Customs/Immigration
are rarely seen asking
permission and others
notice they do not stop
when the person/s object. . .
Without federal guidelines
on the use of FACIAL
RECOGNITION software,
the US Commission on Civil
Rights warned such deployment
as evidenced in Minneapolis
raises concerns about
accuracy
oversight
discrimination
transparency
access to justice.
