The Niles-Buchanan YMCA Thanksgiving Day Run has been a tradition for families and friends in the Niles community for 40 years. Every Thanksgiving, over 2,200 people lace up their shoes, bundle the kids, and head off to create memories. Whether your motivation is to outrun Tom the turkey or burn off those holiday calories, the goal is to celebrate a day of appreciation together with family and friends. In 2019, over 2,700 people from 30 states participated in the 10k Run, 5k Run/Walk, and 1 Mile Fun Run.

Events range from $35 cost for 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk, 1 Miles Fun Run/Walk, as well as Virtual Runs -- the online ordering of Hoodies and T-Shirts ran from Oct. only until Nov. 7 with shipment guaranteed Nov. 19.
