2021 NDL Writing Contest
The 2021 Writing Contest is here and it’s better than ever!
Submit your writings any time from July 1st – July 31st to youthservices@nileslibrary.net or to any Adult or Youth Services Team Member during regular library hours. We have six unique categories, but we have a limit of only one entry per person. Winners will be announced Monday, August 16 on our website. Prizes awarded!
Categories: pick one category, you are allowed one entry per person.
Youth (Ages 0 – 12, up to 5,000 words)
Teen (Ages 13 – 17, up to 5,000 words)
Poetry/Songwriting (original works, music not required)
Picture Book (original text and illustrations, up to 20 pages)
Adults (Ages 18+, 1,000 – 5,000 words) Includes: Screenplay
Mini Literature (All ages, less than 1,000 words. Includes: short stories, and essays)
